Water treatment Filter Media-Activated Carbon,Quartz Sand/Manganese Sand

Activated Carbon

Activated carbon for water purification is generally columnar particles, with large specific surface area, developed micropores, high mechanical strength, fast adsorption speed, high degree of purification, difficult to remove powder, and long service life.

Water purification activated carbon can be widely used in chemical industry, electronics, medicine, printing and dyeing, food and domestic water, industrial water, solution filtration, adsorption purification, impurity removal, and also can be used for deep purification of industrial wastewater. It can effectively remove the odor, chlorine, cyanide and various heavy metal ions and other harmful substances and decolorize.

The water purification series activated carbon is made of high-quality coconut shell as raw material and refined by advanced production technology. The product has the advantages of developed pore structure, high strength, low impurity content, proper particle size, low resistance, and easy regeneration. It has excellent effect on water purification. It can not only remove odor and odor, but also improve the purity of water. It also has a high removal rate for various impurities in water, such as chlorine, phenol, arsenic, lead, cyanide, pesticides and other harmful substances. It can be widely used to fill various large, medium and small water purifiers. It is also applicable to the decolorization and purification of sugar and cool drinks, as well as the purification of indoor and outdoor air, especially the activated carbon loaded with special components has better purification efficiency for indoor harmful gases such as ammonia and formaldehyde.

Quartz Sand/Manganese Sand

Quartz sand and manganese sand filter media are generally used as pre-treatment parts of industrial water treatment together with activated carbon and softened resin filter media. Their filtration effect is like that of water penetrating into the ground through sand, blocking the suspended solids in the water, mainly for those fine suspended solids and iron and manganese exceeding the standard.

Quartz sand is in white crystalline form, and manganese sand is in reddish brown granular form. Quartz sand is mainly used to remove excessive iron in the water (the iron exceeds the standard, the water quality is yellow, the water drips on the ground for a long time to form a yellow mark, or leaves a yellow substance on the pool wall). Manganese sand is mainly used to remove excessive manganese in water (manganese exceeds the standard, the water quality is reddish brown, the water drips on the ground for a long time to form a reddish brown mark, or leaves obvious reddish brown material on the pool wall).

QDEVU series Multimedia Filtration (MF) plants are designed to treat ground water, surface water, tertiary treated effluent, storm water or wastewater with <30 mg/L of total suspended solids.

Standard filtration media includes Quartz Sand(Q.S.) Media for suspended solids removal, Activated Carbon(A.C.) Media for removal of organics, colour, odour or chlorine and Manganese Sand(M.S.) Media for dissolved iron and manganese. Additional filtration media, such as calcite for hardness correction and various ion exchange resins, are available on request.

Additional pre-filtration and post-filtration treatment steps may be added as required to suit feed water conditions and/or treated water quality requirements.

The QDEVU MF plants are available as skid mounted or containerized systems.
