Operating Instructions for Anaerobic Tank

Anaerobic treatment is to use anaerobic bacteria to remove organics in wastewater, which usually takes a long time. Anaerobic process can be divided into hydrolysis stage, acidification stage and methanation stage.

Operating Instructions

1. Before the wastewater enters the anaerobic tank from the regulating tank, the PH value must be monitored. Only within the range of 7-9 can the wastewater enter the anaerobic tank normally. The PH value shall be monitored every 4 hours. During the operation of the anaerobic tank, if the PH is less than 7.0, close the inlet valve of the anaerobic tank, open the inlet valve from the regulating tank to the sludge digestion tank, return the anaerobic inlet water, and add alkali for neutralization; If PH is greater than 9, hydrochloric acid can be added slowly for adjustment.

2. The influent COD must be controlled below 10000mg/L.

3. 10 minutes after normal water inflow, observe the effluent condition of the anaerobic tank to see if there is sludge in the effluent. If the sludge in the effluent is not serious, it will operate normally; If the outlet water is seriously contaminated with mud, turn down the opening of the inlet valve until the outlet water is not contaminated with mud; If regulating the inlet valve can not prevent the sludge from flowing out of the tank, open the sludge discharge valve at the bottom of the anaerobic tank, properly discharge for 2-3 minutes, and then enter the tank normally. After 10 minutes of effluent, use pH test paper to detect the pH value of anaerobic effluent, and check whether the anaerobic effluent is normal (the normal value is 6.8~8). If the effluent pH is abnormal, appropriately reduce the inflow of anaerobic tank. If the pH has not recovered after 4 hours, notify the shift leader or supervisor to ask for stopping the anaerobic inflow. Open the valve to take water sample every 4 hours after water inlet is stopped. When the normal pH value is restored, the water will enter normally.

4. The COD value of the anaerobic tank shall be tested once a day. The morning shift personnel shall compare and analyze the COD value with the COD value of the previous 5 days after the completion of the COD value measurement every day. In case of any abnormality, the supervisor shall be notified in time for guidance.

5. The water level of the regulating tank must be observed for each sludge discharge. Only when the water level is above 1.5m can the sludge be discharged after shutdown. If the water level is below 1.5m, the sludge shall be discharged later. The anaerobic tank shall be tested for mud every week to determine the water level. The attached sludge can be flushed with the secondary sedimentation tank water pipe until it is completely flushed; After the sludge is discharged, it shall be recorded in the operation record and informed to the successor to avoid repeated sludge discharge.

6. The operator shall check each inlet pipe of the anaerobic tank one by one during shift change, observe whether the inlet pipe is blocked, and strengthen the cleaning and dredging of the blockage.

7. Patrol inspection shall be strengthened for the fan connecting the tail gas of the anaerobic tank to ensure smooth ventilation.

8. Check the temperature in the anaerobic tank, keep the temperature about 30 ℃, and do a good job of heat preservation and heating in autumn and winter.

9. Send samples for inspection every day. If there are abnormal results, report them to the supervisor immediately.
